An informational meeting will be held July 26 for families interested in learning about Habitat for Humanity and the application and selection process used to choose the partner family for the new home, slated for construction in 2019.The 7 pm meeting will be at the Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity office, 114 S. Chestnut St, Jefferson. While there is no obligation to apply, volunteers will be available to assist interested families with completing applications.
Many lower income families are surprised to learn they can purchase an efficient and attractive home for less than the cost of rent. While this is made possible through the support of many dedicated volunteers and donors, Habitat partner families work hard for this unique opportunity to capture their dream of stability, health and safety through home ownership.
